We’ve got two class acts opening up for AC/DC: Rival Sons & Vintage Trouble. Let’s learn more about these two bands.

If you’re in the mood for a generous helping of ‘70s blues rock you should definitely check out LA’s Rival Sons. Their well-crafted songs fuse Led Zeppelin’s bluesy hard rock with the best of The Black Crowes while still exuding a unique identity. The band formed in 2008 and only a year later the Huffington Post declarered them the rock band to watch. In 2011, they signed with Earache/EMI and released a kick-ass second studio album, "Pressure and Time". Recorded in just 20 days, the album contained a collection of raw, 70s-style rock songs featuring the amazing voice of Jay Buchanan.

In February 2012 they repeated this process to record their third full-length album "Head-down". Afterwards the band embarked on a tour throughout Europe which was completely sold out. Their next album "Great Western Valkyrie" proved to be even more successful. With elements of psychedelia and more than a nod to soul "Great Western Valkyrie" stormed into the charts around the world on its release. Furthermore, the album was rated Number 1 album of 2014 by Classic Rock Magazine.

Since the release of their debut album in 2011, "The Bomb Shelter Sessions", Los Angeles foursome Vintage Trouble has gone from playing intimate hometown clubs to opening for The Rolling Stones, The Who, Brian May, Bon Jovi & Lenny Kravitz. Their music is a mix of modern soul, blues and rock, while the band gets compared to Led Zeppelin with James Brown as frontman.

The band decided early on to head to Great-Brittain and try their luck there, which obviously was a successful move. First of, they scored a gig on Later... with Jools Holland. Within hours after the show aired the band was a trending topic on Twitter. They also were named Breakout Artist of the Year by Music Weekly. Besides supporting big names like The Rolling Stones the band manage to sell out their headline shows worldwide. Especially remarkable is that this success came about before they had signed to a major record label, which eventually happened in 2014 with Blue Note Records. Now the band is gearing up to release their second album "1 Hopeful Rd.", while opening up for AC/DC.
